Data Capture is usually a simple form your team fills in on a phone, tablet, or computer. It’s one build that works on all three, in the browser: no app store, nothing to install, and everyone gets the current version the moment it changes.

Every entry is checked as it goes in: required fields, dropdowns instead of free text, answers filled in from earlier ones, and the date and person filled in for you. Entries are written to a database, or a spreadsheet when that’s simpler, ready for the reports and dashboards you’ll want next.

    The quote is free. A paper form or spreadsheet you already use tells us what to capture; working that out from scratch is scoping, taken off the price if you move ahead with the build.

  3. Agree and test

    We agree with the people who decide what’s worth capturing, who fills it in, and who shouldn’t see it. Then a rough version goes in front of the people who’ll use it.

  4. Live

    A simple form can be live in two weeks. Entries land where your reports can use them, and what we build for you is yours.

FAQ

What people ask before they book.

Do we pay for a quote?

No. The quote is free. If you already use a paper form or spreadsheet, it shows what the form has to capture. If we need to work out what to capture first, scoping is $750 for half a day or $1,500 for a full day, taken off the price if you move ahead with the build. If the form reads from or writes to a system you already have, we check that system first, also taken off the price. Nothing starts until you approve the quote.

Does it work without signal?

Yes, if you need it. Entries save on the device and upload when there’s a connection again. It’s more to build and test than a form that’s always online, so it’s an add-on rather than assumed. On iPhones it also means adding the form to the home screen, which we set up with your team.

Will our team actually use it?

That’s the whole job. If it isn’t easy, it won’t get used. We keep forms short, fill in whatever can come from earlier answers, only offer the options that fit, and test a rough version with the people who’ll use it. The fields that matter are required, so an entry can’t be submitted half-finished.

Where do we see the entries?

Entries are written to a database, or a spreadsheet when that’s simpler, and you can open them there. Turning them into weekly numbers is Reporting Automation or an Operations Dashboard, and the entries arrive ready for both.

Does it have to be a form?

No. If a system you already use holds the data, you don’t need Data Capture: Reporting Automation or an Operations Dashboard reads it from there. Data Capture is for what nobody is writing down yet. And a form doesn’t have to mean typing: photos, signatures, counters and one-tap entries all count.
